OK!toberfest

October 9 - 11, 2025

Willkommen to OK!toberfest at OKC Fair Park!

Oktoberfest is the annual festival in Munich, Germany, held over a two-week period, ending the first Sunday in October. The festival originated in October 1810, in celebration of the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese from von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. Many festivals of this kind have been held all over the United States ever since. Old Germany restaurant in the small town of Choctaw, Oklahoma began hosting Oktoberfest in 1991. Mike Turek and the Turek family hosted Oktoberfest for over 27 years, with attendance growing to more than 40,000. With one in six Oklahomans being of German heritage, OKC Fair Park, in collaboration with Mike and Sammie Turek, are bringing that authentic German festival atmosphere to Oklahoma City October 9 through 11, with German beer and wine, to bratwurst and sauerkraut!

STV Almrausch

Authentic German Dancers will be performing throughout the festival. Almrausch will be performing traditional German Dances including the Schuplattler Dance. They will also encourage the audience to participate. The STV Almrausch has been performing authentic dances and music from Germany and Austria for many years. Audiences watch as their dancers execute hearty Schuhplattlers (shoe-slapping dances), intricate Ländlers (figure dances), and a variety of specialty dances. And for something really unique, they even play familiar German and Austrian songs on the cow bells!
