October 9 - 11, 2025
Willkommen to OK!toberfest at OKC Fair Park!
Oktoberfest is the annual festival in Munich, Germany, held over a two-week period, ending the first Sunday in October. The festival originated in October of 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese from von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. Many festivals of this kind have been held all over the United States ever since. Old Germany restaurant in the small town of Choctaw, Oklahoma, began a tradition of hosting Oktoberfest in 1991. Mike Turek and the Turek family hosted Oktoberfest, which over 27 years, grew to more than 40,000 people in attendance. With one in six Oklahomans being of German heritage, OKC Fair Park, in collaboration with Mike and Sammie Turek, are going to bring that very taste of an authentic German festival atmosphere to Oklahoma City this Fall (October 9-11), from German beer and wine, to bratwurst and sauerkraut.
